I live in Japan and love spending quiet time at home creating, as well as going on flower walks to enjoy the beauty of seasonal blooms.

For me, flower making is a precious time that soothes my heart.

こんにちは、Hanaです。
おうちでのんびりものづくりをしたり、花散歩をして四季折々の自然を眺める時間が大好きです。
花作りは、私にとって心を癒してくれる大切な時間です。

I have always loved flowers, and my wish to “fill my home with them” led me to enjoy arranging fresh and artificial flowers, as well as making flowers with lightweight clay.
　

For many years, I focused mainly on artificial flower arrangements, and in the early days of my YouTube channel I shared many of them. To make flower arranging feel more accessible, I also posted plenty of tutorials using flowers from 100-yen shops, and it was such a joy to see so many people enjoy them.
　

Over time, I found myself drawn less to large, decorative arrangements and more to the unique character and natural beauty of each flower itself. I began wishing to express that beauty more realistically, and so I returned to clay flower making — this time with cold porcelain.
　
Although I had some past experience with lightweight clay, it had been over ten years, and cold porcelain was an entirely new material with different tools and techniques. I started again from scratch, teaching myself step by step.
　

Cold porcelain, with its smooth texture and translucent petals, felt like a material that could perfectly shape my own sense of “what I love.”
　
At first I began small, buying clay from a 100-yen shop, but little by little I upgraded my materials and tools. Now I work with several brands of clay and even make my own cutters and molds — once I begin creating, I can’t help but dive deeper into the craft.

I feel truly grateful to have encountered this craft, and to all the people who have nurtured and passed it down over the years. One day, I hope to become a source of encouragement or inspiration for someone else, just as this craft has been for me.

もともと花が好きで、おうちにたくさんの花を飾りたい！という思いから、生花や造花のアレンジメント、軽量粘土でのお花づくりを楽しんでいました。
　

長い間、造花のアレンジを中心に活動しており、初期のYouTubeでも多く紹介しています。気軽に楽しんでもらえるように、100円ショップの造花を使ったアレンジもたくさん投稿し、多くの方に見ていただけたのは嬉しい経験です。
　

さまざまな作品を作るうちに、たくさんの花や素材を組み合わせたアレンジ作品よりも、花そのもののもつ個性や美しさを表現したい・・もう少しシンプルに飾りたい！という思いが強くなりました。

そこで出会ったのが樹脂粘土という素材です。
　　
軽量粘土の経験はあったものの10年以上のブランクがあり、さらに樹脂粘土は扱いも道具も全く違うため、初心に戻って独学で一から学び直しました。
　

しっとりとした質感や透明感のある花びらを表現できる樹脂粘土は、まさに私の「好き」を形にしてくれる魔法の素材でした。
最初は100円ショップの粘土から小さく始めましたが、少しずつ材料や道具をアップデートし、今では複数の粘土を使い分けたり、カッターやモールドまで自作するようになりました。

ものづくりを始めると、つい深みにハマってしまいます。

このクラフトに出会えたこと、そして長く受け継いできてくださった多くの方々への感謝の気持ちを大切にしています。

いつか私自身も、このクラフトを通して誰かのきっかけや支えになれたらと願っています。

There is no single “right way” in creativity. Some people take their time and work with care, while others enjoy making things more casually.
A beginner’s simple piece, a work that values lightness or casual charm, or one refined down to the smallest detail — each holds the maker’s heart, and all are truly beautiful in their own way.
I hope everyone can create freely, without comparison or pressure, cherishing the feeling of “I make because I love it.”
That’s the attitude I wish to carry with me as I continue my own journey.

ものづくりには色んな向き合い方があり、時間をかけて丁寧に作る人もいれば、気軽に楽しむ人もいます。
初心者の頃の素朴な作品も、シンプルさやカジュアルさを大切にした作品も、細部までこだわり抜いた作品も、それぞれに作り手の想いがあり、どれも本当に素敵です。

誰かと比べたり特定のやり方に縛られたりせず、「好きだから作る」という気持ちを大切に楽しんでもらえたらと思います。

I’m still very much on my own learning journey, but I truly enjoy sharing the things I discover through trial and error.
Through my tutorials and shop, I’m gradually shaping the tools and resources I once wished I had when I first started making flowers.
It would make me so happy if flower making could bring a little joy and inspiration into your everyday life.

私自身もまだまだ学びの途中ですが、試行錯誤の中で気づいたことを皆さんと共有できるのは楽しみです。
発信活動やショップでは、私がお花作りを始めたばかりの時に欲しかったもの、欲しかった情報を少しずつ形にしています。

お花作りを通じて、みなさまの日常に小さな喜びやインスピレーションをお届けできたら嬉しいです。
