The petal shapes were carefully adjusted for height, serrations, and balance to make them easy to cut and assemble into natural-looking flowers. Creating scabiosa petals one by one with scissors or modeling tools can be very time-consuming, but these cutters make the process efficient. They also allow you to cut thinner petals, resulting in a lighter, more delicate look while using less clay. Another benefit is that veins can be imprinted on both sides of the petals (shown in the demo using a separately sold veiner). For deeper serrations, it is recommended to add extra cuts with scissors after using the cutter for a more refined finish (see short video / Instagram reel). The sample shows a fully bloomed flower, but you can also adjust the number of petals or keep the center as a bud for a different look. In addition to the cutters shown in the short video, this set includes one slightly larger petal cutter, allowing you to create a range of flower styles—from small rounded blooms to wider open flowers.
